Dave's Not Here Man...

About Dave

Dave Renzo is an Electrical and Computer Engineer at Eastman Kodak working on real time embedded systems. In this role Dave is able to draw upon his skills in research, reverse engineering, digital circuit design, embedded programming, digital video and imaging and computer system architecture to design robust system components for use in Kodak's digital inkjet printing presses.

Dave is a lifelong technology enthusiast and computer programmer. Starting on the much maligned (and misunderstood) IBM PCjr and the venerable Apple II, Dave started his coding career with many late night sessions copying BASIC programs from the back of Byte magazine. As time and technology marched forward, so did Dave's tech interests. A major influence in his early days came from the desire to recreate the popular games of the day and the book "Tricks of the Game-Programming Gurus",which was Dave's first experience with low level programming in the C programming language.

With diverse interests in software, hardware, electronics as well as law and government, Dave enrolled in the Computer Engineering Technology program at Rochester Institute of Technology. During his time at RIT Dave earned Bachelors of Science Degrees in Criminal Justice and Computer Engineering Technology with a minor in American Politics. This provided a strong set of skills in software, hardware, statistics and research methodologies that has helped Dave to excel in roles in Research and Development.

In addition to his professional interests in technology Dave also has many interests in the areas of the humanities and fine arts. Dave is a multi-instrumentalist that enjoys playing anything with strings and is an avid concert goer who enjoys a wide variety of musical genres. He is also an amateur photographer and fine arts printmaker and enjoys shooting nature scenes and cityscapes that serve as the basis for his prints.
